FAQ’s

Q: What do I need for class?

A: Closed-toe athletic shoes with a flat bottom are best for stability on the Versaclimber machines. Some students choose to wear grip-bottom socks. No bare feet or regular socks please. Bring a water bottle for hydration and comfortable clothing. The studio provides sweat towels and has water filling stations.

For Climb & Sculpt classes you will likely want to bring a yoga mat as well for the off-machine workout segments.

Q: What experience or ability level is required?

A: Versaclimber classes are low impact therefore suitable for all experience and physical ability levels. There is a level of stability and balance required to safely stand on the machines. Student’s are encouraged to work at their own pace while the instructors will push everyone to work to their greatest ability level and compete against their own goals. Climb 2 classes will be more physically challenging than Climb 1 classes.

Q: What are the benefits of this workout?

A: The low-impact, high-intensity workout provides a great workout for your heart and muscles. 30 minutes of intense cardio is all that is needed to build endurance and cardiovascular health and burn up to 600 calories. The full-body, cross-lateral movements improve overall strength and coordination. Plus, our motivating instructors and rhythmic music make it fun!

Jodi Day

Hi, my name is Jodi Day and I am extremely passionate about fitness. I love helping people through their fitness journey. I am AFAA certified, and achieved a Masters Degree in Kinesiology at Cal State Dominguez Hills. I love to teach different formats, but Versaclimber is definitely my favorite. When I am not teaching, I go to the beach and hike with my husband and two dogs. I look forward to meeting you in class and remember the harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it. Let’s achieve it together.

Class Philosophy- The love for purpose of yoga and exercise are important to me. Physical and mental health coincide with my career and personal mindset, but also my philosophy of class. This class is for YOU, to love yourself, to work on yourself, and to feel empowered and accomplished after each class. I will challenge you to believe in yourself and your abilities, to step out of your comfort zone, and to push yourself every class.

Why I love VersaClimber- An athlete from a young age the main objective is to thrive to be the best, be your own competition while helping those around you achieve those same goals. Physical activity and most importantly mental, and emotional strength and health have always been important to me. I began working with the Versaclimber machine in physical therapy at the age of 18 after a total knee reconstruction. The machine assisted with rehabilitation and gave me the strength and empowerment to continue in my journey to better my physical, mental, and emotional state; which I know is not easy. The Versaclimber machine became a great love for me when I found the enjoyment in using it as a tool to improve the mental and physical self. Living a high intense and always on the move life with being a single mom and having full-time career; distraction and self-care are especially important. It allows me to forget the stressors and release the struggles with an outcome of release and restart.

Class Philosophy- My goal for class is to create a fun, uplifting, and encouraging environment where everyone can be challenged and discover what their body is capable of! It's 30 minutes of moving to great music with great people!

Why I love Versa Climber- As a former distance runner, I love the  versa climber for how gentle it is on our joints. It's low impact, but still gives me the high intensity cardio that I crave. As a musician, I love cardio climb because of how rhythmic the class can be and how the music drives me to keep going.
